my friend can do both.shake ears and raise thier eyebros.can everyone do it.or is it only heriditory?? acctually how can u do it??
i know my question is dum but stil..
Answer:
well its heriditory... same way like some people can roll their tounge while some cant.
Although there are some dances like "Bharatnatyam" and " Kathak" where raising eyebrows is taught. any1 can learn this. try doing it for 1-2 weeks daily you will be able to do this.
I can't shake my ears.
I could shake somethin else babes whiist u raise an eyebrow..
well i can't do either of those, i tried but i just ended up looking really retarded!
Is your friend 'Sloth' from 'The Goonies'?
wow, no i cant do it but my boyfriend can make his eyebrows dance!! its really funny and corky!
I don't know about it being hereditory or not, but I can only raise my left eyebrow and shake both me ears.
I am actually known in my family for "the eyebrow". I can raise both of them independently, but I am far better with my left one. (This sounds so weird once written down!) I actually "taught" myself when I was a kid. It is a skill that has come in useful in the past, it tends to "deflate" people who are annoying me.
Interestingly enough, my left eye has been slightly lazy since birth, and I'm pretty convinced that I subconsciously keep that eyebrow slightly lifted all the time to counterbalance my droopy eyelid. I can also wiggle my ears and flare my nostrils.
I have so much to be proud of..
I dunno, I know I can't.
no i cant do either :(
heeheehee *returns to typing after much gurning in the mirror*
Weeeell..it appears I cant move my ears without my hair moving backwards and forwards like a wig, but I have better eyebrow control than Roger Moore!!
HooooYAAA!! Do you exshpect me to talk Goldfinger?! ..No Miss V, I expect you to amuse me with your wierdly mobile eyebrows!!
On a serious note, as others have said, heredity is the key factor here...certain physiological features are coded for by certain gene variants that you may or may not have depending on your family. Not much is known about the specific genes that are responsible for these abilities.
Other examples include whether your ear lobes are attached or not, double jointedness, whether you can roll your tongue etc.
In summary as a direct answer.no, not everyone can.

I can't shake my ears but i can do the eyebrow thing alright.
it's hereditary. Same as being able to roll your tongue.
I can roll my tongue and raise one eyebrow (Why I can't do both i don't know!) but I can't wiggle my ears.
The mystery of DNA and Genes huh? :)
