Please help me settle a debate I鈥檓 having with my sister.
THIS IS A HYPATHICAL QUESTION!!
We recently visited a relative in the hospital. I鈥檓 a curious person by nature so I took in my surroundings. I noticed how busy a hospital is, so many staff members coming in %26 out of rooms and overall disorganization.
It crossed my mind to ask my sister, if I were to wear a doctor鈥檚 outfit, have a badge and just walk around a hospital would I get caught?
PLEASE NOTE: I also explained to my sister I would not attempt to TREAT patients 鈥?just reading off their bed chart and telling them to rest.
I say I can do 2 hours easily. As long as I鈥檓 not giving nurses orders and being disruptive I think I can easily pull this off.
My sister insists I would not last 5 minutes.
I think she is grossly mistaken.
What is your take? Do you think I could pull this off and last 2 hours?
Answer:
I think you could pull it off if you can answer patients questions as you are checking their charts, otherwise you would have to hide out somewhere in the hospital. My father is a surgeon, I used to go on his rounds with him, his patients asked alot of questions.
You are looking at a long jail sentence. Why are you even discussing such a ridiculous idea?
Haha I think this calls for an experiment. And 2 hours would be easy. Most doctors can hide from patients and bosses for 2 hours easily. And most of the time, they do. Lol.
depends on what hospital.. if the security sucks and it's a busy day, anyone with a white coat (and who looks clean enough xD) can play doctor for a few hours.
hm...i wouldn't push it all the way to 4 hours, but you can definetly make an hour. if i were you, i'd try it some day - unless you're really scared of getting caught (which i am) because i'm sure there's some kind of law against it
