Yes.If your muscles are tensed up for long periods of time,then they don't have a chance to naturally repair themselves,hence the aches and pains.I have the same problem.

When you become tense, your muscles contract %26 this then results in cramps and spasms. Anxiety %26 stress can cause a great deal of problems to your central nervous system if you are not dealing with the anxiety and reducing the stress levels. I would advise some slow deep breathing to begin with and as you exhale gently focus on your muscles and tighten and then relax them with each breath. This will help ease some of the tension stored in the muscles, it will remove some of the anxiety too. Try doing this each day, perhaps before going to bed and it will also help you sleep more peacefully too.
