Can any of the ingredients in extra strength tums with calcium cause Reye Syndrome?

Now I know it's probably rare for someome in their early 20's. (20 to be exact) to come across this problem. But I was wondering if taking Tums extra strength w/ calcium while having an congested chest / cold could damage someone that age. I mean, the only things to worry about I suppose would be reye syndrome. how common is it? and what are the symptoms? There is only diareah and chest congestion / stomache aches involved. Also very weak and light headed. Those are the things I'm experiencing. Thank you!
