Blood tasting saliva?

Why does my saliva oftentimes taste like blood. My dentist told me that i have gingivitis but i don't think it's because of this. It seems that it is coming internally from the chest i feel. It is not continuous it stops quickly, 1 - 3 spits and a drink of water it will be gone. It happens oftentimes in the morning or when it is very hot. I am also hypertensive. I want to know what caudes this problem?
Answer:
try scraping your tongue on a daily basis and see all the yellowish thick gunk you get off it. also flossing and brushing 3 times a day and using mouthwash that is alcohol free helps, it takes awile but it works. its not blood that your tasting, its all the bacteria that has built up in your mouth that seems to taste like blood, its not a frequent thing but happens occasionally, 2 other possibilities: h. pylori that can cause ulcers in stomach may cause bad breath, aslo are you on any medications that may have this as a side effect
Sounds like gingivitis and sorry I know you don't think it is that. But, if you have gingivitis it means that your gums bleed and especially so when you just wake up in the morning.
PS. you can even have blood in your mouth even though you are not brushing, for instance, if you bite into an apple it can sometimes make your gums bleed. To clear it up or to help things, get your teeth cleaned and then floss, brush and mouth wash can help. Gingivitis can be very serious if not taken care of it can lead to bone loss and then obviously tooth loss after that. Take care of your teeth, your dentist is right!
yes your gums are swollen and bleeding you also have bad breath. specially in the morning rinse with mouthwash,
a una ttended cavety or a sore throat can cause bleeding

see a doctor
Ha ha! I think I know this answer! I bet you have bloody noses in the middle of the night that you don't know about. This usually happens to people who sleep on their backs (which is the right way to sleep) because the blood goes straight down the back of their throat and is later absorbed by the body. The most likely reason that it's happening in the morning is because you sit up and any blood that has pooled in the back of your sinus cavity but not dried starts draining into your mouth. Hot conditions dry out your sinuses and cause them to crack and bleed mildly. The nose bleeds are probably so minor that you'd only get a drop or two on a tissue if you were awake to notice them. Next time it happens blow your nose and see if you've got traces of blood or dried blood. Chances are you'll find the culprit.

Blood preasure?

I just took my blood preasure and it read 87/57 P/72. Is that high, low or OK? I'm a 29 year old female.
Answer:
Holy! You going for a record, or something? That's hideously low. Are you sure that pulse of 72 was yours and not some living person's.
Check the BP chart at this site:
http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/medicine...
that is low- the ideal bp is 120/80
as you can see yours is nothing like this! however if you feel alright in yourself andhaven't experienced any bad feelingsthen you shouldn't worry ourself- exercise is always a good way of increasing your bp!
hope this has helped
If you've been sitting for a while or are very fit it's fantastic. It could also be a little low but unless you are experiencing dizziness etc...then don't worry about it.

Blood in urine test?

i took a urine test and and they told me they found a moderate amount of blood in my urine, it wasnt visable to me or the doctor but was detected with the strip, so i went back the next day and they said it was still there but not as much as the day before, they said that there is trace blood, moderate, and it goes higher up, but im in the moderate range, what could cause this? should i worry? i heard one doc say it was protien and maybe i was dehydrated, i work out and am on a diet, i also took some antibiotics, could any of these cause this, some one help, i take another test in a couple of days
Answer:
Blood and/or protein in the urine is common after a heavy workout or after stress or when you are dehydrated. We commonly will ask patients to return in a week or so to be sure their urine is clear and that they don't have any kidney problems. If they have continuing heamturia (blood in urine), we look for pathologic causes (disease), but usually it is nothing to worry about.
you should be sure to stay well hydrated all the time to avoid kidney stones and esppecially during exercise, illness or infection, and hot weather.
Are you a girl? If so, then you might be on your period. Thats what the doctors told me. If you are a boy, I have no idea on how to help you on that. Sorry.
maybe your experiencing a male menstruating pattern... don't worry its normal.
You might have a urinary tract infection. If so, antibiotics should help with that.
Any blood in the urine without an obvious cause needs to be evaluated. The cause can be something very benign or something life threatening.

The evaluation does not require anything invasive unless something is found.

My father has stage 4 renal cell cancer one of the primary presenting signs is blood in the urine. If found early this is curable if you get to stage 4 (found late) it is fatal. This is rare but it is better to be safe than check things out now.
Could be a kidney stone, could be infection, but you would have bacteria in your urine if it was bacterial infection.

Blood i like it.?

i like blood. the taste the smell the look. idky. i once got a bloody nose and i wiped the blood on my lips and under my eyes and i liked how it looked. i have never injured myself on purpose to see blood but i dont mind when i do see it. what do u think is wrong?
Answer:
I don't think there is anything wrong with you.it's just a thing ...i mean, everyone has some kind of wierd fetish and blood is yours...ya know?...some people like to cut themselves, some people like to smell feet, you like blood.nothing wrong with that...some guy on another question in the family questions, says he likes to taste his own sperm and wants to know if thats wierd?...so, like i said we are all only human...
you are a vampire
Oh nothing your just really weird
nothing's wrong. its just how you are you cant change it. =]
You need a check up, from the neck up.
related to Dracula by any chance? sharp pointy teeth? sleep during the day?
Gosh...no offense but you kinda reminds me of a vampire! Anyway if you like blood you can proberly get more red make-up at least it's better than hurting yourself just to see your blood! You know hurting yourself isn't good! It can leave scars you don't like! Especially if you're a girl!
why not volunteer to work with your local rescue squad?
I know you're sick. See someone. Seriously.
Well my opinion is... you aren't a werewolf
either youre a vampire or youre just crazy
No it's not wrong it's just part of who you are. just a little personality trait. you're not the only person in the world that likes blood. just enjoy it and go with it.

Blocked ears?

My ears are blocked and it's really annoying me.
My left ear more than my right.
Can anyone suggest what's wrong?
Answer:
I had the same problem with my left ear. I went to the Doctor and he flushed my ear out. It felt so good. I had ear wax blockage. I have small ear canal's

`faith
You just have a lot of ear wax in your ears, just clean them with a wash cloth, and it should feel better
Could be a number of conditions. Could be wax build up there is a product at the drug store to fix that. You could have what they call fluid on your ear. This requires a trip to the doctor to get some medication to resolve. If you try the first and it does not work then you should go see the Dr.
Yeh, I know how that feels.
I had that and the first thing you need to decide is, is it wax in your ear, in which case some warm olive oil or drops from the chemist will do the trick (feels a bit wierd though)
The other thing is a bit more tricky - glue ear.
Usually after a cold the little tube between your ear and throat gets plugged and that causes an internal blockage. It'll clear up by itself, usually, but I had it on a plane and boy did it hurt, so see your doc if it persists!
Rich
You can buy an over the counter medication called Debrox that you can use as needed. Just put three to four drops of Debrox in your ear canal overnight and gently flush with ear bulb (provided in package) using warm water. If this doesn't solve the problem then I would definitely see your family physician...
Could be a build up of ear wax, i have got the same problem i have to get them cleaned out at least twice a year, you can do it your self by putting some drops of warm olive oil in your year for a few days then get a syringe and keep blasting warm water into your ear, do it in the shower or over the sink you will be amazed at what comes out, but it will be best to go to the local surgery first so thay can have a look in your ears first.
It could be your sinuses. Do you have any pain or headaches? Do you have pressure on the left side of your face? Or did you go swimming recently and get water in your ears-the water should eventually come out if that's the case. If you have sinuses, I recommend Mucinex-it is the absolute best. If you have too much wax build up you can get Debrox Ear Drops but remember wax is good for your ears so don't mess with them too much and don't use q-tips-you're not supposed to clean your ears with q-tips just use ear drops. One of my friends was obsessed with cleaning her ears which made them worse and caused blockage.
Earex or one of the other over the counter meds should work great they just soften the ear wax clearing any blockage and usually have aspirin or something similar as well to help with any pain
Go to see your doctor, if it's a wax build up, you'll get some drops to soften it and after a few days, get it syringed. Don't go "digging" in with a cotton bud type thing, you'll probably make it worse.
its not just your own ear wax..you get a build up of soap/shampoo over time...the nurse at your surgery will flush it all out...after you use ear drops for about 4 days to soften it all. its nothing serious..dont worry - everyone gets it from time to time!
Get some olive oil %26 put about 4/5 drops in the ear for 2/3 days then go to your doctors tell him/her whats wrong %26 have your ears flushed if its ear wax all will be OK
What ? sorry I can't hear you ... No seriously go %26 see a doctor who'll clear them out easily. You may simlpy have a cold or ear infection.

Bloating.....?

I am bloated and need a cure and an explanation why I am bloated.

I'm male 17, I eat very healthly, takeaway mabey once a mounth. Lots of fruit etc

I pressumed that only old women suffer from abdominal bloating? advise plz.
Answer:
Sounds like delayed food allergy. Is there anything you eat at every or almost every meal? We can become sensitive to foods, the most common culprit being wheat, but it c an be anything and the sufferer is often slightly 'dependent' on the food in question. Peanuts?? Try cutting things out to check it out. Just for a week or two. Long enough to see the difference. Then quit eating what makes you bloat, for 6 months initially; then try reintroducing it and if it still has the effect, another 6 months or maybe 3. Etc.
You could be eating too much fruit.
Gas X works well for bloating. Beano does too.
talk to your doctor
Take 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 4 ounces of water and drink this.
cut back on your salt intake. Sodium can cause bloating...especially in the abdomen.
the stress of surviving in britain, left it behind years ago and my health as recovered dramatically, never mind potions just exit the country as soon as poss and start to live!!
fruit can be a source of bloating, it could also be a sign of irritable bowel or somthing maybe, i have IBS and when i eat certain food i blow up...see GP,

Bloated stomach, bowell irregularity, lower abdominal pain?

raised white blood cells. ? ovarian cysts or ovarian cancer
Answer:
Honey go see your gynaecologist or an oncologist as soon as possible.

This is serious.I was reading about ovarian cancer recently and i read that its not detected early because its usaully mistaken for something else. The reason I am reading is because i have the same symptoms.Don't wait any longer please go to your specialist.

Dont hesitate, stop what you are doing and go to the doctor immediately.

Hope everything turns out ok and good luck.

Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer usually happens in women over age 50, but it can also affect younger women. Its cause is unknown. Ovarian cancer is hard to detect early.
The sooner ovarian cancer is found and treated, the better your chance for recovery. But ovarian cancer is hard to detect early. Many times, women with ovarian cancer have no symptoms or just mild symptoms until the disease is in an advanced stage and hard to treat. Symptoms may include:
鈥eavy feeling in pelvis
鈥ain in lower abdomen
鈥leeding from the vagina
鈥eight gain or loss
鈥bnormal periods
鈥nexplained back pain that gets worse
鈥as, nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite
Treatment is usually surgery followed by treatment with medicines called chemotherapy.

Symptoms
鈥ense of pelvic heaviness
鈥ague lower abdominal discomfort
鈥aginal bleeding
鈥eight gain or loss
鈥bnormal menstrual cycles
鈥nexplained back pain that worsens over time
鈥ncreased abdominal girth
鈥on-specific gastrointestinal symptoms:
oIncreased gas
oIndigestion
oLack of appetite
oNausea and vomiting
oInability to ingest usual volumes of food
oBloating
Additional symptoms that may be associated with this disease:
鈥ncreased urinary frequency or urgency
鈥xcessive hair growth
There may be no symptoms until late in the disease
Have you seen a doctor yet? It sounds as if you have, since you know your white cell count. It could be any number of things.

Obviously the thought of ovarian issues is frightening for you. I hope you can take comfort in the fact that I have had ovarian cysts since I was 16, and I have had many of the same symptoms, and I also have three children, and it hasn't impacted my life negatively, aside from occasional pain.

Best wishes!
high carbohydrate intake can cause bloated stomach. not exercise and you re fat prone can also cause bloated stomach

Excess androgens (male hormones): This is most often caused by too much sugar and simple carbohydrates in the diet and is often found in women who have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). You can find out more about PCOS in What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About PREmenopause, as well as the March 1999 issue of the John R Lee, M.D. Medical Letter. And try saliva hormone testing for progesterone, estradiol and testosterone.
