Can a doctor refuse to see you unless you have a physical exam first?

A doctor would be able to justify his or her decision to refuse to see you without a physical exam first and it would likely be a good reason as well. The thing is that he/she would need to know your overall condition before treating whatever symptoms you're manifesting. You may find such a decision unreasonable but it really isn't. Many patients visit doctors for one complaint, only to find out that it is being caused by a different or bigger problem. Therefore, a thorough and competent doctor would want to do a physical exam first. There is also the issue of compliance. If a patient is going to tell the doctor what he/she needs to do and how or when it needs to be done, then that patient needs to see a doctor who will tolerate such non compliance. There are many who won't want to treat such patients because they will present other problems in the long run.
If you haven't had a physical in over a year I'm sure they could. If you had one from a previous doctor have your medical records sent.
A doctor who does not do at least the minimum physical exam when seeing a patient is not doing the patient any favor, and I would question the behavior of such a doctor.
When you go to a doctor with a complaint, which is assumed, there are routine things that are done such as vital signs (temp, BP, pulse, weight, review of meds you are on.) and then the doc should do other things especially based on your complaint, which of course are listening to your heart, lungs and bowel sounds if applicable, along with appropriate blood work. Without these things the doctor can't rule out immediately suspected problems. New patients also have to provide a medical history for the doctor. These findings are all used as a baseline when you are a patient and all doctors will usually insist on it for new patients or if you do not visit regularly.

i would hope a doc wouldn't prescribe that to anyone, even if they are over 18 - they cant be safe - you are the height you are, deal with it or get lifts for your shoes.
Only if the 17 year old has a deficiency in that hormone. If it's just because he wants to get taller, than no, he won't. Also, their needs to be parental consent whenever there is any medication given to an underaged minor.
They only would if there is a an acceptable medical reason for needing the medication.
They don't give it to people who just want to get a little taller.

We are going to the doctor in the next few days, but I was wondering if anybody could help. On Tuesday, my boyfriend passed out while getting a tattoo, but being that it was his 4th, we dont think it had to do with the tattoo. He did not hit his head (I was there and caught him as he fell), but it is now Saturday and he still is not feeling right. He says he feels like he has a concusion (he has gotten them in the past while playing football), but he did not hit his head. He feels dizzy, somewhat disoriented, and has a constant headache. Also, when he did pass out, he wet himself, which led us to believe it was a seizure. But we spoke to nurse that we know and she ruled out the seizure based on checking his eyes, as well as the fact that when he passed out, he fell limp, rather than shaking or becoming stiff. Also, he knew who everybody was when he came back to, he was not confused. He thought he was sleeping. He was out for about 1.5 minutes. Afterwards, his hands tingled. Thoughts?

Can a doctor inform the cops about trace of weed in blood ?
I am supposed to go to a blood and urine test tomorrow, something that my doctor wanted me to go for since I have been having some problems with my health. I smoked some weed this past weekend, I have never done any other drug, I am worried that the blood test might detect that - my question is can the doctor share this information with the cops ? I would think that the medical records are confidential but still I am worried since I dont want to end up in trouble.

A doctor can only call the police on you if you are a danger to yourself (suicidal) or a danger to thers (homicidal).
Honey, you have to have a special test for thc which is in the marajuana...even if he did see it...he most likely would not report it since in several states it is nothing but a misdimenor...so your pretty safe...now if he saw hard drugs it would be a different story, but most blood tests wont detect thc unless they are looking for it specifically...hope it helps

Get a gallon of water and plain tea bags. about 30 of them.
no sugar and broil the tea bags and when done put them all in the gallon of water and drink the whole gallon before tomorrow. it will clean out your system and the weed.
My son did it once when he had a job interview and drug test done.
Also you can drink a big bottle of vinegar and water a gallon of water with it.

Yes, they most certainly can. This happened to my close friend after she was taken to the hospital for blacking out and it was marked on her record. Medical records are confidential, but exceptions can be made in the case of drugs, but as far as I know only if the doctors have prior knowledge and are giving emergency care. But marijuana will not be in your line of tests, so no worries.

If you were already charged with something and the records were court ordered, that would be a different matter.
If you aren't charged with any crime, and you aren't on parole or something, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Can a docter detect a pain killer overdose from a simple blood test?
i have recently overdosed on over the counter ibuprofen, prescription ibuprofen, and something called naproxen sodium? and now i have to go to the docter (not for the overdose) but they will be taking my blood, and i dont know if they can see what i've done just from that test.
