Bone Marrow?

I'm thinking about donatine bone marrow (hope donate's the right term) and I was wondering if anyone has been through this procedure or could tell me sites about what happens.

I have been on the bone marrow donor list for 2 years now, never been called to donate. I put my name on the list when i was donating blood, they took an extra blood sample to see if i was suitable.

Google the Anthony Nolan trust and look at their website.
You dont donate any bone marrow unless you are a match for someone, all you have to do to register is a blood test.

I watched a program about a bone marrow transplant and they take it from your breast bone on your chest. It will be achey for a while but it be for the better good!!
